Materials: Watercolors
In this watercolor lesson, I teach you how to paint a yellow-red rose with watercolors - This tutorial has a step-by-step narration. It is beginner-friendly, but intermediate and advanced artists can also learn from this lesson. The tutorial comes with a material list, my reference photo, and a sketch that you can print out in any size you want. I go through how I painted the entire painting, including the rose blossom, leaves, and the background with its abstraction effects which I created with metallic watercolors. (But you don’t need metallic paints to follow along) I recommend hot-pressed watercolor paper for this lesson and a few different-sized brushes. I mainly work with Trekkell, Himi, and Betty Hayways Brushes, but every other brand works as well! This tutorial is an excellent project if you have an hour of spare time or want to create a lovely spring-inspired painting for your home!
And…once you have learned this painting technique painting roses will be a piece of cake for you!😘
